Jam
Originally exhibited within a conservation shophouse along Kandahar Street, the work plays on the dual meaning of ‘Jam’ in both English and Malay. In English, ‘jam’ evokes the notion of being stuck, while in Malay, it simply refers to a clock - a symbol of time itself.
The work invites viewers to reflect on the fluidity of time in a space that intertwines the past and present, where time continuously moves forward yet occasionally seems to come to a standstill.
